Cardiac Scoring and Carotid IMT are quick and simple tests that evaluate your risk for heart disease. They use CT and ultrasound technology to detect atheromatous disease in the coronary arteries and carotid artery respectively. These exams have been proven to be effective tools in assessing risk for atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular disease and can significantly change what patients know about their risk of heart attack and stroke. The equipment makes these tests quick, easy and completely noninvasive. The exams take approximately 15-20 minutes.
