Ashe Memorial Hospital has been named among the nation’s “Most Wired” hospitals according to the results of the 2012 Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study released in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. This is the first time that Ashe Memorial has been named to the prestigious list and honored as a leader for its advanced use of information technology since the award began in 1999.
The annual survey examines how hospitals use information technology to address safety and quality issues, customer service, business processes, workforce and public health and safety. Ashe Memorial appeared on the coveted list in the small and rural hospital category.
“We are proud of the work our teams have accomplished and are honored to be recognized for our commitment,” said R.D. Williams CEO at Ashe Memorial. “Our sustained strategic investments in information technology enhance our ability to fulfill our mission of providing excellent Primary Care to the Communities we serve.”
Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, the flagship publication of the American Hospital Association, compiles the list annually using survey results from 1,300 hospital and health systems in the United States. A full list of award winners can be found online at www.hhnmag.com.
